Ross Crabb came to visit Capitola with the summer invasion of '95. One of the first place we headed once we were on the road was to Hahei where Ross' family have a bach. The area was jewel green and the view from the deck encompassed the bay, farms and the community below. We had it made.
We visited Hot Water Beach during the day and found it flooded with people. A late night trip found things still fairly busy but nice enough to dig ourselves a hole in the sand and sit in the hot water bubbling up through the sand. In all our years of hot spring hunting, we have found nothing like this.
